In collaboration with our customers, we invented data management techniques that provided airtight protection for the credit card issuance process. Proprietary financial information and details about individual cardholders were insulated against theft and fraud as they flowed through the process.
This made Datacard Group a trusted partner for American Express, MasterCard, Visa and nearly every financial institution and service bureau that issued financial cards.
In the 80’s Datacard Group’s card personalization reputation soared. Virtually every financial card program in the world relied on our high-volume systems. Embossing and magnetic stripe processes became faster and more precise. Card printing capabilities grew to include photos, bar codes and text.
We also expanded partnerships with financial institutions by collaborating on key issues, such as productivity, security and card marketing.
Strong collaborative relationships continue today. The prestigious Datacard Users Group, formed in 1995, has the sole purpose of providing an open forum for information exchange, best practice sharing and giving Datacard feedback and advice on new products and developments.
