Features
The Maxsys system is designed to maximize uptime and availability. It also prevents interruptions during large jobs by verifying that the correct supplies are loaded and warning operators when supplies are running low.

Modules
Controls the activities of each module and the entire system, offering an intuitive interface point for operators.
Card input module
Feeds cards into the system with high reliability. Multiple card input modules allow card issuers to use different plastic card stocks to increase efficiency or add capacity for large, complex jobs.
Card cleaning module
Removes damaging dirt, dust and contaminants from both sides of each card in a single pass prior to card printing.
Magnetic stripe encoding module
Writes one to three tracks of data in parallel with read/write heads that support all ISO, AAMVA and JIS encoding formats and common coercivity requirements.
OCR-B/Barcode scanner module
Reads pre-printed serial numbers, document control numbers and barcodes on cards to control secure blank card stock and create an audit trail.
Contact smart card personalization module
Programs smart card chips using state-of-the-art couplers. Supports up to 11 programming stations enabling innovative smart card applications.
Contactless personalization module
Using up to six contactless programming stations, reads and writes to cards handling complex card personalization requirements efficiently.
Graphics printing module
Prints monochrome custom card graphics including text, logos and barcodes on PVC cards using thermal transfer technology.
Multi-card buffer module
Increase efficiency by holding or passing cards to maintain card order when rejects occur.
Single-card buffer module
Reach maximum card production speeds of 3,000 cards per hour for applications that require multiple card embossing modules.
CardGard™ UV-curing topcoat module
Applies full-card, state-of-the art topcoat to embossed, indented or flat cards using a patented method and high-quality materials to extend card life.
Embossing module
Ensure high-quality, ISO-compliant card embossing and indent printing with tightly aligned character-to-character spacing, consistent text height and location.
Topping module
Applies colored topping foil material to embossed characters, making them attractive and easier to read.
Vision verification module
Provides inline card stock verification and quality assurance of personalized cards helping reduce the chance of errors and improving data integrity.
Label affixing module
Applies a wide variety of removable adhesive card labels with accurate placement and consistent alignment.
Card output module
Stacks good cards in two trays and rejected cards in a separate tray. Multiple card output modules allow issuers to expand output capacity, or to allow plastic cards to be grouped for downstream processing/handling or for varying delivery methods.
